Precision Bushings & Receivers
Receiver Bushings
Receiver bushings provide mating interfaces for mechanical locking and quick-change fixture systems, supporting repeatable engagement, positioning and component changeover.
Receiver Bushings for Quick-Change Fixture Interfaces
Receiver bushings provide defined mating interfaces for mechanical locking and quick-change fixture systems. Installed in a fixture plate, subplate or supporting structure, they provide the receiving interface for compatible locking or locating components.
They are used where fixtures or components need to be installed, removed or changed repeatedly while maintaining a defined mechanical interface.
Typical Applications
- Quick-change fixtures
- Fixture plates and subplates
- Assembly tooling
- Removable fixture interfaces
- Modular tooling arrangements
- Repeated mechanical locking interfaces
Selecting a Receiver Bushing
Key selection parameters include the compatible locking system or mating component, receiver dimensions, mounting configuration, installation space and surrounding geometry.
Receiver selection should be reviewed as part of the complete mating interface rather than by bushing dimensions alone.
Mounting & Mating Interfaces
Receiver bushings may use different mounting arrangements depending on the system design and installation requirements.
Where the receiver forms part of a ball-lock fixture mounting system, compatibility with the corresponding shank, liner and surrounding fixture geometry should be confirmed together.
Standard & Modified-Standard Requirements
Standard configurations can be reviewed against the required mounting arrangement and mating system.
Modified-standard dimensional or material requirements can also be reviewed based on the application and sourcing feasibility.
What to Send for an RFQ
- Required quantity
- Existing system or mating component information
- Receiver dimensions, if known
- Mounting configuration
- Installation space or plate information
- Material or finish requirement, if specified
- Drawing, existing part number or reference product, if available
Existing part numbers, drawings or reference components are especially useful when matching an existing quick-change fixture interface.
